Weight Tracker is operated by Nestor Studios. This policy describes version 0.13.0 of the Android app.
Information stored by the app
The app can store weight measurements; entry dates and times; optional contexts, moods, notes, and custom logging-option labels; height and target weight; preferred units; goal and prediction settings; theme and accent choices; dashboard settings; and Progress-highlight settings and history. BMI, trends, estimates, statistics, and insights are calculated from information stored in the app; they are not separate account records.
Where your weight information is stored
Your weight, height, goals, notes, moods, contexts, history, settings, and other information you enter into Weight Tracker are stored locally on your device. Weight Tracker does not require or provide a Nestor Studios account, Nestor Studios cloud sync, or developer-operated server storage. Android Auto Backup is disabled for this version.
Your locally stored weight and health information is not sent to Nestor Studios or provided to Google AdMob for advertising.
Manual backups
You may choose to export a JSON backup and choose where to save it. A backup can contain your weight history, dates and times, optional notes, contexts, moods and label snapshots, height, goal, units, appearance and dashboard settings, logging options, and Progress-highlight preferences.
Backup files are plain text and are not encrypted by Weight Tracker. They may contain sensitive personal information. You control where a backup is stored or shared and are responsible for protecting or deleting copies outside the app. Importing a backup replaces the app's current entries and covered preferences after confirmation.
Advertising and third-party data processing
The free version of Weight Tracker uses Google AdMob, provided by Google, to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process certain information, including approximate location derived from an IP address, device or other identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostic information.
This information may be used by Google for purposes including displaying and measuring advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
Weight Tracker uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) where applicable to request and manage advertising consent and privacy choices. Depending on your region and applicable requirements, you may be able to choose whether certain advertising-related data is collected or used. Where required, privacy options are available from within the app so that applicable choices can be reviewed or changed.
Google processes information collected through its advertising services according to Google's own policies and terms. Nestor Studios does not receive your weight history, height, goals, notes, moods, or other locally stored health information through AdMob.
Weight Tracker Premium and Google Play Billing
Weight Tracker offers an optional one-time Premium purchase through Google Play. Purchases and payment processing are handled by Google Play. Nestor Studios does not directly receive or store your payment card or banking details.
The app communicates with Google Play to determine purchase status and restore eligible purchases. Premium removes advertising and unlocks Premium features.
Permissions and network access
Weight Tracker uses internet access for functionality provided by Google services, including advertising, consent management, and Google Play purchase functionality. The app does not request precise or approximate device-location permission for its weight-tracking functionality. Approximate location may nevertheless be inferred by advertising services from information such as an IP address.
The app does not request camera, contacts, notification, or broad storage permission. Its merged manifest may include app-signature-only internal permissions added by Android libraries; these are used for internal application functionality and do not grant other apps access to your personal Weight Tracker data. Android's system document picker provides access only to backup files or locations you choose.
Deletion and retention
You can delete individual entries, delete all weight entries, or completely reset the app. A complete reset removes the app's entries and preferences from the current installation. Uninstalling normally removes locally stored app data, subject to Android platform behavior. Exported backups remain wherever you saved them until you delete them there.
Information processed by Google services is subject to Google's applicable retention and deletion practices.
Health information
Weight Tracker is an informational personal weight and wellness utility, not a medical service or medical device. BMI ranges, trends, forecasts, and other calculations are informational and are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a guarantee of an outcome.
Children
Weight Tracker is a general-audience personal utility and is not specifically designed for children. A parent or guardian should decide whether its use is appropriate for a minor.
Security
Nestor Studios designs Weight Tracker to keep weight and health records locally on the user's device and limits requested permissions. Advertising and purchase-related information transmitted to Google services is transmitted using secure connections. No storage or transmission method is absolutely secure. Protect your device and any exported backup files appropriately.
Changes
This policy may be updated when app behavior, third-party services, or legal requirements change. A revised policy will show a new effective date.
